A glance through Tumblr or Pinterest reveals a plethora of lovely homes, but a home that is spurned and inviting—for both occupants and visitors—is more difficult to come by. Keith Summerour, an architect, and designer strive to construct homes that meet all of these goals; each of his designs has a deep sense of location and unique character while remaining completely habitable. To truly achieve this equilibrium, Ettiluxhome you must accept the property’s peculiarities.
Summerour says in the book, “Few things seem as genuine and pleasant right—as the old classicism of the South.” Philippe refined a traditional French country house’s appearance for this project, allowing for even more modern elements like an open-concept gathering kitchen and dining room. Summerour utilized materials that resonated with the house’s rustic surroundings, like hand-hewn logs as well as barn planks, while creating among the first vacation houses on Strawberry Farm in Pennsylvania. Architecture aspects are frequently the center of attention, but this does not have to be the case. Summerour chose to “remove the details, simplify the shapes, and make an architectural project about illumination” for this light-filled, Santa Fe–style home in Knoxville, Georgia.

Boils down to doing what you desire, not what appears to be the appropriate thing to do. “These clients, who’d come to Pine Bluffs [in South Carolina] originally Louisiana, had a definite idea about what they desired stylistically: a relatively low classical Southern mansion, Ettiluxhome but not one such their grandparents may have constructed.
